Description

Palasa is a rare single cultivar kava only located on the Island of Espiritu Santo in Vanuatu.

Approximately 70% Basal roots and 30% Lateral roots, in essence the entire kava plant without separating the roots. This method ensures in keeping this variety a TRUE SINGLE CULTIVAR. This Noble variety is barely known to the world, hard to find and available in small quantities.

Palasa is a fast hitting and long-lasting kava. This is like an improved Borogu, more refined in taste. It is easy to handle than a classic Borogu. Palasa is definitely something unique and very enjoyable. It has a smooth taste profile but strong and quick to release the heady effects. Our expert reviewer, Mr. Jimmy Price (Kava Forums) taste tested our Palasa for four consecutive days and his conclusion was:

A fantastic middle of the road leaning heady kava.

The first thing that attracted me to this kava was the lab reports. This is one of the only kava’s I’ve seen where you could classify the chemotype as 42xxxx. By pure chance and luck of the draw we have the last 4 kavalactones almost precisely in line with each other being only 4 hundredths of a percent away from each other. Officially the chemotype is 423516. With kavain and dhk being almost equally as wildly potent in this root at 2%, you’re going to have a great experience. Kavain being the most sought after kavalactone with DHK coming in a close #2, this is a good signature. This kava is very relaxing and highly stress relieving with only a very slight sedative edge after consumption. Of course, similar to most kavas, a lengthy session will have your eyes trying to close without your permission.

Along with this chemotype we also see the ratio of kavain to DHM being excellent at 3.5. This tells us that this kava is exceedingly noble, comes on quickly, and doesn’t tend to hang around afterwards.
Taste and smell are right in line with the what you would expect from a pristine noble Vanuatu kava.
